Tell all Tuesday: Summer Recharge

Happy Tuesday!

I don't know about you, but I really feel like these weeks are cruising by at a rapid speed.  It's hard to believe we are already to the end of July and as I looked on my calendar today I realized that I will be back in my classroom soon setting up for my next group of kiddos.

Before the summer completely sails away, Jayme from TeachTalkInspire and I thought it would be fun to talk about Summertime Recharge.  During the school year we go, go, go, from back to school prep, to curriculum night, to conferences, to grade level events.  Once the school year starts it's full steam ahead.  With that being said we thought it would be fun to find out:  How do teachers relax and recharge their batteries for the next school year during the summer?!

Personally, I like to...

Summertime is the perfect time for me to read a few books on the list I collect all year. There is nothing better than a relaxing morning of escaping with a must read!

I'm not going to lie I'm addicted to Netflix. A few of my go tos have got to be The Office, Friends, Gilmore Girls, Parenthood, and currently my Hubby and I are binge watching Shameless. If you have any suggestions send them my way... :)

Target Trips are simply the best way to de-stress. There is nothing better than wandering the aisles and finding new treasures. The dollar section is an added bonus!

I love to create materials for my classroom and summertime is a great time to tackle the ideas I have throughout the year!

Now it's your turn...

Tell all Tuesday 2.0: Summer Snapshot!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!  I had so much fun reading everyone's post last week.  Thank you for linking up with us.  It feels so good to be back on the blogging bandwagon.  I love how summer time is such a great time for teachers to recharge their batteries and work on activities that sometimes get pushed to the side with all the other tasks that need to get done throughout the year.

This week we are sharing some fun summer memories and our post is called Summer Snapshot.  Where is a fun place you have gone, activity you have done, or something special that has happened this summer?

Here is my Summer Snapshot!

If you follow me on Instagram I think you probably already know my Summer Snapshot, but the best memory I have had so far this summer is definitely welcoming our sweet baby, Makenzie into the world this past June.

My husband and I definitely longed for this moment for some time now and we couldn't feel more blessed to finally have her in our arms.

From the moment the doctor announced "It's a Girl!" it has been a surreal experience and I wouldn't trade it for the world.  She has the best facial expressions, makes the best little noises, and a smile that just melts our heart. We are definitely blessed and I feel so lucky.

I feel like summer always flies by, but this summer is on fast forward mode.  I'm trying to just soak in all my time with my sweet baby girl and enjoy every minute with her.

Now it's your turn...

Tell all Tuesday 2.0: Two Truths and a Lie

It's back!  Last summer my sweet friend, Jayme from TeachTalkInspire and I had so much fun with our weekly summer linky party, Tell all Tuesday.  It was a great way to blog and meet new friends.  Now that summer is in full gear we have decided to bring back the linky party and continue the fun.

I have been so neglectful of my blog the past few months I am excited to dust off the keyboard and give some attention to it.

This week our topic is: Two Truths and a Lie!

Let's get to know each other by playing "Two Truths and Lie!" In your blog post tell us three "facts" about yourself.  Make two of them true and one a lie.  In the comment section your readers will guess which ones are true and which ones are not.  After three days, come back and tell us which one was the lie! We can't wait to play along with you and learn something new about our readers and fellow bloggers.

Here's How to Join in the Fun:
1. Grab the picture and banner above and use it to link back to this post on your blog.
2. Write a post about the topic of the week.
This week is: Two Truths and a Lie: All About Me!

Two Truths and a Lie: All About Me

1. When I was in Brownie's we went to Bozo buckets and I was chosen to be a contestant for the Grand Prize game.
2. I taught one year of third and have been in Kindergarten ever since.
3. For my honeymoon we went to Hawaii and one of my favorite memories was going on the door-less helicopter tour of the island.

Now is your turn to try to guess my Two Truths and a Lie. Write your thoughts in the comment section and I will share the answer in three days.

Join in on the fun and link up with us.  Tells us your "Two Truths and a Lie".

Thanks for stopping by!
