Wow, I can't believe it is July 1st already, I am not sure where the month of June went?!  I always feel like this happens every summer.  The days start to blend into each other and before you know it August arrives!  I'm trying to enjoy every day of my summer break.  A little relaxing, a little creating, a little reading.  Ah, the summer days.

I am excited to be linking up for Farley's Currently July.

Listening- I always like to have the TV on in the background as I work.  Today I am watching Gilmore Girls.  I love that show!  I can watch the seasons over and over.  Anyone else wish they lived in the small town of Stars Hollow?

Loving- I have an obsession with watermelon.  I could it all day!  It's the perfect summer snack!

Thinking- I have a list of activities I need to complete for grad school.  I try to tackle one thing at a time and do it throughout the week so I have the weekends to hang out and relax.  My list will get done, I think I can, I think I can.  I just need to channel some motivation...

Wanting- I have collected quite the stack of books from the library.  I need to stop putting them on hold, but whenever I see a book that interests me I just can't resist.  I can't wait to dive in and check a few off the list.

Needing- some more caffeine!  I am dragging today.  I think I might grab my co-pilot (Mario) and run through the Starbucks drive thru for an Iced Chai.  I love those!  Perhaps some reading and Starbucks can be my reward after I get some homework done. ;)

All Star- I am an All Star List Maker.  I make lists for my lists.  I love post-its and I love crossing things off.  I have lists at home, school, in my car.  Everywhere you look I have a reminder for myself somewhere.

Thanks for checking out my Currently July.  Make sure to stop by Farley's Blog Oh' Boy 4th Grade to read about other bloggers and what they are currently thinking about.

Happy July!

  1. Lists are the best! I enjoy writing lists almost as much as crossing things off those lists! I hope you get your Starbucks and motivation!

  2. Hi Diana! I never really got into Gilmore Girls. I did see a "Where are they now?" show about the cast recently. Now I know where Alexis Bledel got her start. I've only seen her in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants! Speaking of Starbucks, I stopped by there this morning after my appointment. I say you grab Mario and head there now! :) Enjoy the rest of your day!

  3. Oh my goodness, lists keep me sane!! I'm one of those people who, if I don't write it down, it doesn't get done!! I have Educator ADD, where I'll start one project that reminds of another which begins a third...until I have so many things started and nothing completed!! Good luck getting all your grad work done, and I hope you get a chance to relax too!!

  4. I wish I loved watermelon! It's got so many less calories than ice cream! I've never watched the Gilmore Girls, but my daughter thinks we are just like the main characters. I couldn't survive teaching without lists and post it notes!

  5. Oh my goodness - I had Gilmore Girls on while creating today too! Too funny! Hope you can find the time to enjoy your books!

  6. I just went to the library and checked out quite a few books! Also, watermelon is one of my favorite parts of summer! So delicious :)

  7. Grad school- I don't envy you there! But it'll fly by, and you won't have to do those assignments again! =) And I'm a list-girl too! Such an accomplishment crossing something off.

  8. I watch Gilmore Girls on a continuous cycle starting with Season 1!!! Love it!! And I am all about the lists!! Hope you went and grabbed your Starbucks! You deserve it, it's SUMMER!!!!

  9. I have the same problem with library holds! I check out more books than I will ever have time to read! Maybe I need to get more coffee like you and hunker down and get reading lol.
    Terrific Teaching and Learning

  10. I totally hear yah about the grad work. Some weeks it just seems to be never ending for me. :( Fortunately, my classes are done for the semester and I will have a few weeks off. Enjoy your summer reading! Share any good reads that you find! :)

  11. I love making lists too. Sometimes, I rewrite a list just to cross off things again and add more things. I like the look of a fresh list. :)
